Ionic Foot Bath

What is Ionic Foot Bath Detox Treatment?

We are taught as children the importance of hygiene, constantly washing our hands and bathing daily, all to keep our body clean and prevent illness from outside germs. What about the inside of our body and the toxins exterior cleansing can't reach? People are constantly being exposed to unhealthy levels of pollution including dangerous toxins and heavy metals. Consider our regular contact with:

  • Acid rain
  • Fertilizers
  • Contaminated water
  • Rancid food from restaurants and stores
  • Over chlorinated and fluoridated water
  • Growth hormones present in many foods
  • Antibiotics from direct or indirect sources
  • Unhealthy food additives

The body's ability to cleanse itself internally simply becomes overloaded and toxic residues build up. As a result, the body's cells can't work at peak efficiency, setting off a domino effect for physical ailments and potential health problems that can include:

  • Allergies
  • Arthritis
  • Immune deficiencies
  • Migraines
  • Fatigue
  • Decreased muscle tension
  • Loss of flexibility
  • Cancer
  • Heart Disease
  • Circulatory programs
  • Memory impairments

Newton Chiropractic offers Ionic Footbaths (Cellular Cleanse Therapy) treatments in addition to healthy wellness services and plans. Call to schedule your initial footbath today to see how this works.

The goal of the Ionic Footbath is to restore the body's balance and energy levels by detoxifying the body and eliminating unwanted metabolic waste, environmental pollutants and other harmful toxins created by our mental and physical daily traumas.

Holistic Health

Meridians refer to a system of horizontal and vertical pathways which carry the "chi" or energy throughout the body and correlate to specific internal systems and organs. The relationship between the meridians and connective tissue with regard to systemic health, has to do with elimination of harmful debris in order to allow the energy to flow freely so that the body may function properly in it's entirety. There are many meridian points on the feet, hence immersing the feet in the Ionic Footbath will enable the release of toxic materials as the meridians act as channels for the transport and elimination of various molecules.

The Science

An ion is merely a word for a molecule with either a positive or negative charge. Most harmful substances and foreign matter, such as chemicals, heavy metals, parasites and many others are positively charged. Like charges repel one another while opposites attract. Therefore, by creating a positively charged ion field in the water of the footbath, the negatively charged harmful molecules are attracted to the positive high concentration of the current. The positive and negative molecules are bound together and drawn to the over two thousand pores on the bottom of your feet where the body can now properly excrete them.

Overall Health

Having regularly scheduled Ionic Footbaths may assist your body in the following ways:

Enhanced Immune System

  • Relief of pain and joint stiffness
  • Detoxification of heavy metals
  • Removal of blood clotting material
  • Improved liver and kidney function
  • Improved sleep pattern

Due to chemicals in our drinking water and the non nutritive value of much of the food we consume today, our bodies often remain in an acidic state. The pH, or potential of hydrogen, is a scale by which we measure the alkalinity or acidic composition of matter. When it comes to our health, we want to promote an alkaline environment within the body's own electrical field. Again, we can do this with the Ionic Footbath as the electric polarities transform our acidic body into a healthy alkaline state with a more balanced pH. Continued therapeutic sessions with the Ionic Footbath will not only encourage detoxification and elimination at the time of service, but will eventually result in the body being able to eliminate toxins on its own. As absorption of healthy ions continues the body will begin to naturally release materials that were previously trapped in the matrix of connective tissue. Change the charge and the density of the molecules and you change your health.

Newton Chiropractic &Wellness Centre's chiropractors have been proudly helping families detoxify their bodies and balance their energy in Newton and the surrounding areas near Boston, Needham, Wellesley, Natick, Brookline, Watertown, West Roxbury, Roslindale, Waltham, Weston & Wayland.

While elimination of toxins is seen as healthy, too much detoxification too quickly can feel uncomfortable and taxing on the body. For these reasons we impose a limit of no more than two to three Ionic Footbaths a week.
